Hemakshi Malik is a Program Associate with the Energy Program at WRI India, under the Energy for Equitable Development pillar. Her work sits at the intersection of renewable energy, rural development, and energy equity. Previously, she worked as a Research Associate at TERI, contributing to projects on AgriPV, building-integrated photovoltaics, and the Responsible Energy Initiative. She has worked on assessing the potential of AgriPV in India through remote sensing and GIS, case study analysis of various AgriPV sites including business models and assessing site-level key performance indicators. She has experience with GIS and remote sensing tools for energy transition planning, including solar potential mapping across Indian states. Hemakshi holds a master's in Geoinformatics from TERI School of Advanced Studies and a bachelor's in physical sciences from University of Delhi.
