Manuel Narjes
The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, Italy
Manuel Narjes is an agricultural economist at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, where he works on the design of inclusive, climate-resilient food systems. He currently leads the JET-AgriSOL project, funded by the German government’s International Climate Initiative (IKI), advancing agrivoltaics as a pathway for just energy transitions, rural development, and climate adaptation in Colombia. His research focuses on value chain transformation, agroecology, and the integration of environmental and economic objectives in agricultural systems. Manuel has extensive experience working across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, translating research into practical solutions for smallholder systems, sustainable land use, and policy design.
